Delighted to say I was invited to speak on a panel at Thrillerfest X in Manhattan, on July 7-11, 2015, sitting alongside Peter James, Mark Billingham. ThrillerFest is the annual conference of the International Thriller Writers.
The honoured guest was 2015 ThrillerMaster Nelson DeMille along with 2015 Spotlight Guests Mark Billingham, Charlaine Harris, and Greg Iles.
This is the biggest international event for crime and thriller writers, and they have a huge amount of events on offer, with all the top international crime and thriller writers.
I had intended a little guerrilla marketing, and smuggled some Bloody Scotland brochures past customs. There was no need, as everyone showed great interest in Scotland’s premier Crime and Thriller festival. Hopefully their people are going to speak to Bloody Scotland people, and a reciprocal arrangement will be made between New York and Stirling.
I met up with writing pals Gordon J. Brown & SJI Holliday , and it was tremendous fun.
First, lunch at Pershing’s across from Grand Central.
Found Manhattan Central Library, then bought socks at Macy’s. It’s a heady lifestyle.

And an evening visit to downtown Manhattan to the Mystery Bookstore for a launch by my ITW pal Jenny Milchman. Great night, great food!
