The Linnet’s Wings Literary Magazine

June, 2015

Before Names Of The Dead hot the shelves, my first appearance in print was the Linnet’s Wing’s literary magazine. I was delighted my submission was accepted, and is published in the the ‘New Voices’ section.

My piece is the first chapter of my second book in the Connor Montrose series, ‘The London Cage’. It serves as a stand-alone prologue to the story, and is set in the early Eighties, before the action moves to the present day.

Linnet’s Wings is a superb read, with fascinating and intriguing stories and poetry.  Their website sums it up perfectly.

“The Linnet’s Wings was founded, in Edgeworthstown, in the Irish Republic, in 2007. Her title was taken from the William Butler Yeats poem, ‘The Lake Isle of Innisfree’:

‘Where midnights all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow/And an evening full of the linnet’s wings.’

She is supported by an international team of editors who are based in: Ireland, UK, Canada, US, and Spain.

‘Our aim is to showcase writers and artists whose work stimulates and challenges the sensibility and imagination of our readers, and to provide a seedbed of inspiration for writer/artists and readers both, just as was done by the voices of the past.’

‘The Linnet’s Wings’ is avalable print, from this link.
